Art B Chmielewski is a manager at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) – a NASA Center in Pasadena, California. He participated in 15 space missions and held almost every possible space job at NASA. He built space instruments for Mars rovers, installed nuclear generators on deep space spacecraft, designed billion-dollar space missions to the most unique objects of our solar system, developed new technologies, and organized a lab to build a space telescope the size of a football stadium. He managed missions which traveled to the Sun, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn and landed on comets. He worked on getting images of cryo-volcanoes, black holes and beaches on Titan. He is currently working on the next helicopter for Mars. Artur was a consultant to Hollywood movies, designed space sculptures and gave lectures at some of the most prestigious colleges around the world. He is a recipient of 5 NASA medals, 7 JPL awards and numerous Polish awards. He has just published a bestselling book „Wyzwania Kosmiczne (Cosmic Challenges).” He advises Polish companies on how to enter the U.S. market and establish successful daughter companies.

With 25 years of startup and strategic leadership experience at some of the world’s biggest companies and three investor-backed, high-growth startups, Tejpaul Bhatia leads revenue generation and future monetization strategy for the commercial development of space as Chief Revenue Officer at Axiom Space. Prior to joining Axiom, he led External Strategic Narrative for the Office of the CIO at Google, where he met with C-suite executives at Fortune 100 corporations to discuss the future of work, supporting over $4B in sales pipeline. Tej first joined Google as the Startup Ecosystem Manager in New York to establish and grow Google Cloud’s presence with startup founders, venture capital firms, and family offices; he previously was an Entrepreneur in Residence at Citi Ventures. As a startup founder for 10 years prior, Tej served as Chief Operating Officer for an educational technology company, Explain Everything, CEO of video chatting platform Chatwala, and CEO of Kaptur, an app that enables users to instantly aggregate all photos taken at any event in seconds. Before founding Kaptur, Tej was Senior Manager of Product and International Strategy for ESPN, where he launched ESPN3 in the US, Mexico, Brazil, and Europe. Tej holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Columbia University. He has served in non-profit leadership and board positions at the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Startup Leadership Program.

Sławosz graduated with honours with a master’s degree from the Technical University of Łódź, Poland, in 2008 and a master’s degree from Université de Nantes, France, in 2008. In addition, he received a Diplôme d’Ingénieur from École Polytechnique de l’Université de Nantes, France, in 2008. In 2011, Sławosz earned his Doctorate in radiation-tolerant designs for space applications from the Université d’Aix-Marseille, France. Next to his mother tongue Polish, Sławosz also speaks English and French. During his doctorate, Sławosz worked as a radiation effects engineer at STMicroelectronics focusing on the next European radiation-tolerant and radiation-hardened digital CMOS technologies for space applications in Crolles, France. In 2011, Sławosz joined the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) in Geneva, Switzerland, working as a reliability expert. His duties included for example leading radiation test campaigns in ESA test facilities to qualify electronics components and systems for space and accelerator use. In 2013, he was appointed as a project lead and senior reliability engineer at CERN where he was in charge of the creation of a radiation-tolerant power converter control system which has been a core part of the Large Hadron Collider LHC since 2017. From 2018 to 2020, he was an Engineer in Charge of LHC, being responsible for the day-to-day 24/7 operations of CERN’s largest accelerator and assuring its optimum exploitation. In 2019, he was serving as a technical expert and evaluator for the EU’s research and innovation funding programme Horizon 2020 reviewing European space technologies for the Research Executive Agency (REA) at the European Commission in Brussels, Belgium. Alongside his professional career, Sławosz’s interests have always been closely related to space applications. He lectured on space system designs for international schools of engineers SERESSA 2014 and 2021 (School on the Effects of Radiation on Embedded Systems for Space Applications) and organised workshops between CERN and NASA as well as workshops for the private sector. He has authored a book on radiation effects, numerous publications and organised multiple international scientific workshops and lectures. From 2014, he was also an active volunteer reviewing multiple commercial space satellite projects such as the ICEYE constellation as well as Polish space missions like PW-SAT2, HyperSat and EagleEye. On his days off, Sławosz is outside testing his limits on high-altitude mountaineering expeditions, travelling to remote places or on a sailing boat, enjoying time with friends, sharing his sailing experience or taking part in competitive regattas. In November 2022, Sławosz was selected as a member of the ESA astronaut reserve.

As Vice President of Business and Strategy at Virgin Orbit, Stephen Eisele is responsible for leading all sales and strategies around commercial and international business efforts, engaging with the civil, commercial and the new space small satellite community. Part of his initiatives includes initiating the Virgin “VIP” Program (or Virgin Interplanetary Program) for satellite missions to journey beyond LEO to GTO, the Moon, Mars and beyond. In addition, he has spearheaded Virgin Orbit’s international spaceport architecture, setting up spaceport partnerships around the world including in the UK, Japan, Italy and many more to be announced. Prior to joining Virgin Orbit, Eisele served as a senior business development executive for Surrey Satellite Technology US, where he helped lead Surrey’s business growth opportunities through strategic partnerships, including OTB Missions. Stephen previously served as Vice President of Space Services Inc, a commercial space holdings and investment company, where he managed multi-million dollar companies and start-ups; served as head of sales and marketing for Excalibur Almaz (EA), an international space exploration company created to provide routine, affordable access to and from space; and also worked as the Marketing Director for the X PRIZE Foundation’s Google Lunar Lander Challenge in 2007. Prior to working with entrepreneurial aerospace firms, Stephen worked as a senior analyst for DFI International (now Avascent Group) in Washington, DC, managing and researching numerous projects for Fortune 100 aerospace and defense firms. Stephen holds a bachelor of arts in international studies from the Johns Hopkins University and a master of arts in international economics and strategic studies from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) where he received the William C. Foster Award for “sound scholarship and a record of distinguished service and leadership.” He also holds a master’s certificate from the International Space University in space business.
